Powerlifting is generally recognized in kilograms rather than pounds. However, both are provided below. At the time of weigh-in, each lifter must weigh in at, or below, a particular weight class. Failing to weigh-in at the required weight will force the lifter to lift at the higher weight class.
As of 2011, the International Powerlifting Federation introduced new weight classes. Both current and previous weight classes are listed below.
